In our modern western culture, yoga has become immensely popular as a form of exercise. While it is absolutely true that yoga will help in gaining strength, endurance, and flexibility, it offers many other benefits as well, and is far more than just physical exercise. Our physical, mental, and emotional health are all intertwined; each has an affect on the other. Yoga is an ancient practice that works with the body, breath, and mind in order to cultivate a state of balance, awareness, and peace.
